- Knocknadobar Caherciveen
The mountain with everything -a pilgrim's path with 14 Stations of the
Cross leading to the giant cross at the summit- 4 spectacular corrie
lakes on its northern slope-a great ridge walk and views of 3 peninsulas.
Variety of walks each about 4 hours, 850 meters ascent and 10 -12 km.
- Eagle's Hill Caherdaniel.
Superb walk leading to a remote upland mountain lake.5 hours. Ascent
1082 m.17 km .A diversion to visit an ancient copper mine adds about
2 km. Another version of this walk would include Staigue Fort.
- Bolus Head, Ballinskelligs.
Outstanding sea views on all sides. 3.5 hours,11km ,520 m ascent
- Coomcalee Ridge.
Walk along the high 5-km long ridge with magnificent views of Lough
Currane, Ballinskelligs Bay and the lake-studded area to the north.6
hours, 1000m ascent, and 17 km.
- Beentee Loop walk.
Caherciveen. A marked walkway along an ancient mass path and rising
to gentle mountain slopes. Overlooks the town of Caherciveen, the marina,
harbour and much more.10 km.530 m ascent .3 hours.
- Portmagee.
Lovely high level walk with views of The Skelligs, St Finians Bay and
Valentia, Waterville and from Dingle to Beara.12 km.400m ascent.3.5
hours. Longer version 24km 760m ascent and 6.5 hours.
- Coomavoher Lakes.
Circuit walk of the beautiful glacial lakes of Tooreenbog, Adoolig and
many many more.16.5 km, 900-m ascent.6 hours.
- Drung Hill.
Archaeological sites, a disused railway line and old roads. Super mountain
top walk overlooking Dingle Bay and the Glenbeigh corrie lakes.12.5
km. Ascent 840 meters.4 hours.
This walk can be extended up to 25 km (1500m ascent and 8-9 hours).
Return path along The Kerry Way or for the longer variation by Glenbeigh.
